The services that EDG3 can offer to you are detailed below. If you do require a service that is not detailed on this page, please contact me and I will make the effort to try and meet your requirements, although the most common choices are all listed.


CMS Installations

Content management systems, otherwise known as a CMS, are widely chosen amongst people with little or no knowledge about where to begin with creating a website. Using a CMS you are able to update the content from your internet browser at anytime, and more importantly, from anywhere you have access to it! This means it is a fantastic choice for people who wish to update their site frequently without having to code each page and upload it each and everytime.


Here at EDGE I will install and give you a simple yet understanding walk through of the CMS you choose, as most CMS's are available freely on the internet, you are paying for the service of installing and helping set it up, not for the CMS itself, please remember this. What this also means, is if you see a CMS you like, then you can always contact me to arrange a fee to help you install and set it up.


Logo Design

Logo design is crucial to your site, the logo needs be effective and show what your site is about, but it is also required to be so simple anyone could remember it. As if people can't remember it, the chances are they won't remember the name of your site or what it was about! I am happy to produce various sized logos to your specifications and add input of my own if you are unsure as to what you want to achieve from your logo.


Template Design

Templates are the outer shell of websites. Essentially they’re a fully functional web page, ready to be configured with your own content, and to use a base for you to create and add your own additional pages. If you have all of your content and pages planned out, and have some knowledge of web authoring then this would be a good option for you.


Togethor we will work on a design for your template which will be drawn up in Photoshop CS2 and shown to you, with adjustments made until you are happy. Then once you are completely convinced and happy with the design, I shall code it in fully valid XHTML & CSS working template for you to use.


Web Design

EDG3 can create individually designed websites specifically for your personal or business site and will hand over the designs in .PSD or .PNG format, whichever is preferred. Please note though, the conversion of your design to XHTML & CSS is not included in this service. If you are after a fully coded design, please see template design above.

Well if you are interested then please do not hesitate to contact me so we can discuss what you would further. If you choose to send me an email or contact me using the online form, please state as much detail about what your after. In the past I have had emails such as:


"Hi, can you install and help me with this CMS please?"


Which just means I then need to reply to get the details, such as which CMS you need help with, what the site will be about, do you need a logo, etc. If you state roughly what you require in the starting email the design process will be started much sooner and will benifit all involved. Also if you state you don't require a logo, I will not try to create you one and sell it to you at any stage, as you clearly stated you didn't need one. All in all, detail is key, it helps us all.
