free templates

OK well I'm finally starting to release some templates as freely available at no cost, my first one has been accepted and is on the front page of www.openwebdesign.org and you can find it here!

It's had, at the time of writing this, over 170 downloads! So its safe to say I am extremely happy with that, some quotes which people have said:

Right I'm back home, truth be told I've been back a few days but only just got around to updating the site's blog. Been busy emailing people back, sorry for any delay in the past few days emails as I seem to be having a problem with my email's coming through roughly 2 days later than they were sent! Apart from that just to say I have set-up a new part of the site which will showcase my free website templates so feel free to check that out!

in madrid, spain

Just a quick update, stopped off in a hotel for 2 nights in Madrid, Spain. About a 30 second walk to the Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid Football Club, so may decide to take a tour round that at some point tomorrow. So far we've drove roughly 1250 miles, and have about 300 or so to go until we reach La Manga, Murcia where we have our apartment for the week from this Saturday.

Created myself some custom php includes for the sidebar area where the links are held, and also down below for the footer, so any updates I'll only need to do once for the change to show all over the site! Something I'm still learning is php, but I know enough of the basics to know it saves a lot of time when done correctly ;) On another note, I'm just about to leave for my holiday, so there maybe no more updates for about 3 weeks, have a good summer guys and girls!

getting ready to go away

Well I'm off on holiday from tomorrow for a couple of weeks, so just a quick update that there may be anything upto a 3 week delay on replying to any enquiries or questions anyone sends me, hopefully there will be a WiFi connection somewhere nearby as I'm taking my laptop with me anyway so if there is I will leave some updates / reply to some emails the odd day.

Well, I've got the basic design sorted, looks a bit plain so going to add a flush border around the navigation and content to smooth things out a bit and to get rid of some of the blockiness around the design. Anyway, thats my daily site update done, back to working on it now :p

domain goes live

Right well I've got the domain ( www.edg3.co.uk ) registered and as the hosting sorted now, I'm now finishing off the designing of this site along with adding in all of the content I need. It's going to be quite fun actually having my own design site finally, something I've always felt like doing but always putting it off as I was busy with something or another, but no more! It's arrived and its here to stay. Let's hope it impresses some of you then!

welcome to the blog

As title, welcome to the blog, so this is the first post in it. Just testing everything is set-up correctly with the site and hopefully it will be ready to go live on the 26th August 2006 as planned. Its a special day for two reasons, firstly, its my 20th birthday! Secondly, the beginning of EDG3, so hopefully it will go smoothly!
